The 18th National Departmental Football Championship will begin today (Thursday) in Karachi. Pakistan WAPDA will defend its title in the championship in which 16 teams are participating. However, teams of the Pakistan Army and the PTV have withdrew from the championship. Secretary Pakistan Football Federation Ahmed Yar Khan expressed hope that these two teams would also take part in the event.
