Pakistan Steel in semis of Quaid Cup Hockey

KARACHI A last-minute goal gave host Pakistan Customs a well-fought one-all draw against Pakistan Steel on the last day of the pool league of the Quaid-e-Azam Gold Cup Hockey here on Sunday at HCP Stadium. Shahbaz Ahmed netted first for the Steel makers and it was in the closing moments of the match Usman netted the equaliser for the host team. Despite playing the draw, Pakistan Steel reached the semi-final in which it will face favourite NBP on Monday noon. In the second match of the day, HBL defeated the visiting Ghana Customs 3-1. Shabbir Ahmed netted twice and Ejaz Rasool one for the bankers which also reached the semi-final where they face Wapda also on Monday. Ghanaian skipper Ebenezer scored visitors lone goal.
