LAHORE - Majority of the clubs of the three affiliated zones of Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) have reposed confidence in ex-LCCA chief Khawaja Nadeem Ahmad while assuring their all-out support for his re-election in the coming elections. “I will continue my efforts for the revival of Lahore cricket and thankful to all the clubs for lending their all-out support. Speaking as chief guest at a reception hosted by Amir Ilyas Butt in his honour and attended by 98 clubs from East, West and North Zones of the LCCA, Nadeem urged all the clubs to speed up their efforts for the development of the game in city. “If elected, we will be introducing new tournaments for engaging clubs in competitive cricket activities for finding new talent and to strengthen the base of the game,” he concluded.–Staff Reporter
