CM Gilgit/Baltistan to support skiers


ISLAMABAD - Chief Minister Gilgit/Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah met with Ski Federation of Pakistan (SFP) chief Air Marshal Athar Hussain Bukhari, who is acting chief of Air Staff Pakistan Air Force. Both discussed matters pertaining to development of the Naltar ski resort, which would help the players in practicing for the national and international events. The SFP chief briefed the CM about PAF’s aims for the development and uplift of the area into an international standard ski city. Mehdi commended the PAF and SFP’s efforts for the welfare work for the locals and also assured his all-out support for the development of infrastructure namely Gilgit-Naltar road, electric supply for ski chairlift and planned uplift of ski resort surroundings. At the end, they also exchanged souvenirs.–Staff Reporter
