National Junior Ranking Tennis

ISLAMABAD - Top city National Junior Ranking Tennis Championship kicked off at Syed Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, on Sunday. A total number of 70 players from all over the country are participating in 5 different categories; boy's singles U-18, boy's U-18 doubles, girls U-18, boys U-14 and boys U-12.
M Mudassar is the top seed in the U-18, Arham Atiq, M Muzammil, Hamza Bin Asif, M Ahmed, Syed Nofil Kaleem, Saad Zafar and Zaid Mujahid are the other seeded players.
A total of 28 matches were decided on the opening day of the championship in the boys U-18 and boys U-14 events. All the seeded players moved into the second round by winning their respective matches except 5thseed Ahmed. Talha Bin Asif got walkover against Ahmed who failed to appear for the match.
In the boys U-14 event all the seeded players registered straight sets wins. Emmad Farrukh struggled hard to win his encounter against Kashan Omer in an exciting three sets match. Saqib Omer eliminated Ilham Khan in a thrilling three set match; the match lasted for 2-hour and15 minutes. Kanwar Moeez Khan chief executive, Top City-I grace the occasion as the chief guest along with the other top ranked officials of the project.
