Champion of the Hill Race

ISLAMABAD - Nisar Ahmed of Pakistan Wapda won the Champion of the Hill Rawalpindi to Murree Cycle race by covering the distance in 2:2:10secs.
The race was organised by the Pakistan Cycling Federation in collaboration with Rawalpindi District Sports on Sunday.
Asghar Ali and Rameen of Afghanistan got second and third positions respectively while Aimal of Iran remained 4th, Wazir Ali of Sindh finished 5th and Imran Shaukat of HEC got 6th place.
MNA Hanif Abbasi inaugurated the race from Rawalpindi in which 60 cyclists from Iran, Afghanistan, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KPK, HEC, Islamabad and Wapda contested.
Advisor to CM Punjab, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony and distributed prizes amongst the participants. PCF President Idrees Haider Kh, Secretary Kamran Ameen, District Sports Officer Waheed Babar, Tehsil Sports Officer Rawalpindi Shahid Ahmed Khan, Shafqat Nizai, Islamabad Cycling Association Secretary Zulfiqar Baig, Col Tahir Zaman, M. Ijaz, Waqar Ali along with hundreds of people were also present on the occasion.
Zulfiqar Baig said that Champion of Margalla Cycle Race would be organised in the second week of February in Islamabad.
