LAHORE – The Punjab Hockey Association (PHA) will hold trials here on May 10 for the selection of its two teams for the participation in the National Junior Hockey Championship being played at the Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium Karachi from May 14. The PHA has formed a five-member selection committee in this regard which will witness the one-day trials that will be held here at the National Hockey Stadium, said PHA spokesman here on Friday. He added: “The players, born on and after January 1, 1996, duly registered with their district/provincial association are eligible to participate in the tournament.” “Former Olympian Danish Kaleem will lead the junior selection committee whose other members are M Sarwar, Mudassar Ali Khan, Dilawar Hussain and Amir Jalil, he concluded.–Staff Reporter
