LAHORE - Golden Star Club defeated Nadirabad Cricket Club by eight wickets in a friendly match at the latter's ground the other day. Batting first, Nadirabad Club were all out on 185. Salman, Waseem and Ghazanfar played well while Asif and Rahil grabbed two wickets each. In reply, Golden Star skipper Umar Tanveer led his side to easy victory with unbeaten innings of 105 while Shahzad also scored 52 not out. Meanwhile, the management of Golden Star Club held a meeting under the chair?of its vice president Majid Zaman. The meeting discussed the last three months' performance of the club. The meeting also approved programme for the year 2011 and decided a tournament would be arranged in the city.
