MOHSIN ALI ISLAMABAD - Sarah Mahboob Khan won all her matches and would face Saba Aziz today (Tuesday) in the trials being held since last three days at the PTF Complex Islamabad. Current Pakistan No 1 Sarah Mahboob Khan is undefeated so far in the trial matches. She had played three matches and won all the three. In the first match, she beat Meheq Khokhar 6/1, 6/3, in the second match, she outplayed Anoosha Aslam 6/3, 6/3, and in the third match, she defeated Sara Mansoor 6/4, 6/4. Her fourth and last trial match is against Saba Aziz to be played on Tuesday (today). Sara Mansoor played three matches and won two, lost one. In the first match, she beat Anoosha Aslam 6/1, 6/4, in the second match, she outpaced Meheq Khokhar 6/1, 6/4, while she lost the third match to Sarah Mahboob Khan. Anoosha Aslam and Meheq Khokhar both have played two matches and they lost both the matches respectively. Saba Aziz won only one match against Meheq Khokhar, he added. Saba Aziz will play her second match against Anoosha Aslam on Tuesday morning, and at afternoon, she will play her third match against Sarah Mahboob Khan. "The trials were being held on league basis. The PTF invited six girls and out of them five participated in the trials whereas Ushna Sohail stayed away because of an injury," said Chairman Fed Cup Selection Committee Hamidul Haq. Three former Davis Cupper Hamidul Haq, Mushaf Zia and Zulfiqar Rahim are supervising the trials.
