ISLAMABAD - Pakistani skier M Karim along with the coach and manager of Pakistan ski team met with Air Marshal Athar Hussain Bukhari, Vice Chief of the Air Staff Pakistan Air Force in his office on Monday. Athar Bukhari, who is also president of Ski Federation of Pakistan (SFP), congratulated Karim on his performance in recently-concluded Winter Olympics 2014 at Sochi, where he piped Indian and grabbed 70th position. The SFP chief also hoped that his superb performance would significantly boost the SFP’s ventures in national and international ski events in future events. Karim, who hails from Naltar, Gilgit-Baltistan, was the only Pakistani who participated in giant slalom event. It is a matter of pride for the nation as he obtained 70th position out of 109 athletes in this category.–Staff Reporter
