LAHORE – A female cricketer Atiya Batool has been reported as missing in Lahore, having been untraceable for the past eight days. Police have taken coach Nadeem Zafar into custody for questioning. Atiya, who played as an all-rounder, went missing from Jail Road in Lahore. After searching for her for eight days, Atiya’s family registered an abduction case against unknown persons at the Civil Lines Police Station, prompting police action. The cricketer was known to be suffering from a strained relationship with the coach at her cricket academy. Hence, police have detained Zafar for further investigations. –INP
