Nawa-i-Waqt in Media Cup quarter-final

LAHORE - Nawa-i-Waqt team outplayed Bol TV in the pre-quarter match to breeze into the quarter-finals of the Ghouri Tyres Media Cup Tournament 2015 here at the Wahdat Eaglets cricket ground on Wednesday night.
In the pre-quarter match, Nawa-i-Waqt opted to bat first and posted 50 runs on the baord in five overs. Nadeem Basra, once again, was top scorer as he hammered 27 runs. Chasing the modest total, Bol TV fell short of four runs as they could manage to score 46 runs in the allotted five overs. Nadeem Basra was declared man of the match for his superb batting.
Earlier, in the inaugural match of the fourth day of the event, News One/Capital TV thumped Channel 20 by runs. News One/Capital TV scored 80 runs in the allotted overs and in reply, Channel 24 could manage to score 60. The second match of the day between Aljazera and Nai Baat was decided in super over where Nai Baat performed well and scored win to make their way in the pre-quarters. ARY won the third match while in the fourth and last match of the day, Express proved too hot for City42 and thrashed them by eight wickets and advanced to the next round.
