Left-handed batsman Gautam Gambhir, who scored a crucial knock of 97 against the Lankans in the final at Mumbai, said that since the team has worked so hard for the coveted cup, it was only fair to give them the real trophy. He said, "The World Cup win is a proud moment for me and my team. We have worked really hard for the trophy and should be given the real one." Meanwhile, rubbishing reports that the trophy handed over to the Men in Blue was fake, the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday (April 4) confirmed that the trophy handed over to Dhoni and boys was the real one.
