QUETTA - Pakistani legend boxer M Waseem has arrived Quetta on Sunday after successfully defending World Boxing Council (WBC) silver flyweight title by trouncing Philippine’s Giemel Magrao in Seoul, South Korea.

Waseem said the nation’s prayers were behind his success. “I am very thankful to Peshawar Zalmi for extending financial support to me, as such supports from sponsors will help me achieve my goals of winning world title for my country.” He also thanked Baluchistan Corps Commander Southern Command Lt General Aamir Riaz and Inspector General Frontier Corps Sher Afgun for their all-out support.
