ISLAMABAD - Akbar Football Club defeated Punjab Group of Colleges 4-0 in a football match organised to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day at Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex on Wednesday. Pakistan Sports Board DG (T&T) Dr Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera was chief guest at the occasion while PSB director facilities Agha Amjedullah, PVF VP Maj (R) M Afzal, ISWA president Syed Shrafat Hussain Bukhari, ex-PFF secretary information Rana Tanveer along with other dignitaries were also present there. While an exhibition hockey match was also played at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium in which AJK XI edged out PSB XI 4-3. Sharyar Khan, president Islamabad Press Club and Chairman Islamabad Hockey Association was the chief guest on the occasion. Meanwhile, Iswa XI Football Club thrashed Furqan XI FC 3-1 to win the Kashmir Solidarity Day exhibition soccer match played here at T&T football ground on Wednesday. Islamabad Sports Welfare Association (ISWA) organized the match. FCCI Foreign Affairs committee chairman Shaikh Abdul Waheed was the chief guest on the occasion, while Model Town FC chairman Nasir Mehmood Ch, ISWA president Syed Shrafat Hussain Bukhari, secretary Rana Tanveer along with other dignitaries and sports lovers were also present there.–Staff Reporter
