PESHAWAR – M Ibrahim Mohib beat Humam Ahmad of PSB Academy to clinch the PSB Kashmir Day Age Group Squash Championship U-9 title played here at PSB Coaching Center Thursday. Former world champion and squash legends Jansher Khan and Qamar Zaman graced the occasion as guests and witnessed the final of the U-9, U-11 and U-13 category. As desired by IPC secretary M Ijaz Ch and PSB Director General Dr Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera, it was decided to hold the event to expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir. In the U-9 final, Ibrahim Mohib defeated Humam Ahmad in a five-set battle, the score was 12-10, 8-11, 8-11, 11-9 and 11-6. Ismail Khan got third position by securing victory against Salman in the straight sets victory. The score was 11-9, 11-8 and 11-9. In the U-11 final, M Ammad beat Walid Khalil by 10-12 11-9, 11-8 and 11-9 while Hamza Zahid beat Imtiaz Ali by 11-9, 11-8 and 11-8. In U-13 final, Ali Sher beat Ammad 3-1. In the girls junior category, Laiba Ijaz defeated Naeema Khalid 3-1, the score was 8-11, 11-6, 11-9 and 11-4. Qainat secured victory against Fiza for third position with score of 11-7, 11-9 and 11-8. At the end, both legends Qamar Zaman and Jansher Khan gave away trophies and cash prizes to the position holders.
