Imad hits ton for Islamabad


ISLAMABAD - Imad Wasim scored 103 to help Islamabad get out of trouble against Peshawar at the close of play on the second day of Faysal Bank Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2013-2014 Super Eight-Stage Group-A match on Sunday. Imad smashed 12 fours and one six in his 160 balls 103. Imad was ably supported by Faizan Riaz, who contributed 64 as Islamabad were all out for 286 runs conceding 64 runs first innings lead. Taj Wali was the pick of the Peshawar bowlers with 4 for 87 while Iftikhar Ahmed and Afaq Ahmed also grabbed two wickets each conceding 21 and 73 runs respectively. Earlier, Islamabad resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 12 for the loss of 2 wickets and were already in deep trouble.
