Petition filed in IHC against new PCB constitution

ISLAMABAD - A writ petition challenging the new constitution of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was moved in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) here on Wednesday.
A single bench of IHC comprising Justice Athar Minallah will take up the petition today (Thursday). The petition was filed by Major (r) Ahmad Nadeem Suddle through his counsel Faiz Ahmad Cheema Advocate. In his petition, he prayed to the court that it might set aside the newly-formed constitution by declaring it as illegal. He requested the court that it might direct the respondents to formulate new constitution of PCB after consultation with all the stakeholders.
The petitioner adopted in the petition that the PCB constitution notified on July 10 was not formed after the consultation of all the stakeholders and heads of all the regions should be engaged in this process, therefore, he requested the court that it might set aside this newly-formulated constitution.
