Pakistan tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi has reached the Wimbledon’s Mixed Doubles quarterfinals while teaming with Kazakhstan’s Yaroslava Shvedova, Waqt News reported.
The Pakistan-Kazakhstan pair defeated the British duo Neal Skupski and Anna Smith 6-3, 6-4 in the Round of 16 to book their place in the final eight.
The pair will now take on 11th seeds Marcin Matkowski and Katarina Srebotnik in the quarter-final.
Aisam had earlier been knocked out of the Men’s Doubles in the second round, while Shvedova lost to Venus Williams in the Ladies’ quarterfinal on Tuesday.
