Murray receives wildcard in Rotterdam

ROTTERDAM - World No 6 Andy Murray will compete in the ATP tournament in Rotterdam next week after receiving a wildcard, organisers confirmed on Friday. The Wimbledon champion, who is fighting to recover his best form after a back operation, is set to feature alongside the likes of last year's winner Juan Martin Del Potro and Tomas Berdych. Murray is scheduled to play in Acapulco later this month before the higher-profile tournaments at Indian Wells and Miami. "Last week I contacted Andy Murray and his management," said Rotterdam tournament director Richard Krajicek. "Because he didn't have a tournament planned between Australian Open and Acapulco and came back from Australia free from physical issues, it seemed like a good idea to both of us if he came to Rotterdam.–AFP
