Dilawar brings int’l tennis to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) patron Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas returned on Tuesday after attending the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) Board of Directors meeting held on January 3 at Doha. Dilawar, also ATF board member, met with different federations’ representatives and ATF president Anil Khanna, who sanctioned and sponsored a training camp and tournament for u-16 juniors in Pakistan as a goodwill gesture and for the promotion of the game in the country. Dilawar said: “The six-day training camp will start from Jan 28 followed by a four-day tournament to be held at Senator Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex. I always try to promote tennis and attract foreign players to play in Pakistan. My efforts paid off as I am expecting an Asian tournament in Islamabad or Lahore in near future.”–Staff Reporter
