Miandad assures revival of cricket

ISLAMABAD - Batting legend Javed Miandad Monday, claiming to fix Pakistan cricket in six months, said the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should revive a committee comprising prominent veteran cricketers.
He said he had given a formula to PCB chairman Najam Sethi to bring the country's cricket back on track. Talking to APP, Miandad said in past, same committee was headed by him and the advices given by the former cricketers produced effective results for the game.
He eulogised the PCB chairman's efforts to revive Pakistan-India cricket relations. It was need of the hour and it would generate huge revenue for the country in future, he added. He said money was important, but the game lovers of the two countries wanted to see both the teams in action in the field. To a question, he wished that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) could be held in the country instead of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to attract foreign players in future. By hosting the league in the country, domestic players could get exposure by playing with their national team members, which would have futuristic benefits for the Pakistan cricket, he added.
