LAHORE - The Old Ravians XI Friday beat Vice Chancellor XI by 28 runs in the festival cricket match at the Government College University Lahore Oval Ground. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Khaleeq-ur-Rahman was chief guest while Old Ravians Union president Kamran Lashari and former Test cricketer Salim Malik were also present. Batting first, Old Ravians XI posted 218 runs in 15 overs under the captaincy of former chief secretary Punjab Pervaiz Masood. Kamran Lashari, Salim Malik and M Bilal scored some quick runs in the early overs. Solicitor Aziz Nauman Butt, who every come all the way from Hong Kong to play the match, scored 92 off 46 balls. Chasing 219, Vice Chancellor XI surrendered at 189. Director Sports Khadim Ali Khan, Azhar Iftikhar and Taha Sadaqat played fine innings. Aziz got three whereas Malik got two wickets. –Staff Reporter
