ISLAMABAD - Army were struggling to save the match against PTV as they lost three of their second innings wicket for 166 at on the second day of the Patron’s Trophy Grade-II 2012-13 Group B match played here at Army Cricket Ground on Monday. Sana Ullah was still at the crease on 60 runs. Immad Wasim clinched two wickets for 27. Earlier Army were bowled out for 204 in their first innings with Shahid Khan scoring 46 runs. Raheel Majeed, Immad Wasim, Waqas Ahmed and Zahid Mahmood took two wickets each. PTV managed 385 runs losing all of their wickets 81.1 overs in their first innings. Zeeshan Mushtaq hammered a sparkling 134 studied with 12 fours and five sixes while Usman Ashraf contributed 50. Mawaz Taimia notched up 5-91 while Shahid Khan and Nasar Iqbal took two wickets each. At Pindi Cricket Stadium, CDA lost three wickets for 79 runs in their second outing against KPT. Earlier, KPT took a 57-run first innings lead as they scored 296-8 in 83 overs. Faisal Khan made 80 and Faraz Patel unbeaten 66. Yasir Ashfaq and Kamran Hussain got two wickets each. CDA were all out for 239 in 75.1 overs in their first innings. Ali Sarfraz scored 90. Babar Rehman took 4-59 while Usman Javed and Adeel Malik took two wickets each. At Diamond ground, Medicam scored 67-1 in their second innings against Face Fresh. Earlier, Face Fresh were all out for 272 in 77.1 overs with Mudassar Ehsan scoring 61 and Nadeem Shahbaz 53. Asif Fawad took 3-74 while Faisal Yasin and Bilal Asif chipped in with two wickets each. Medicam scored 384-6 in 83 overs during their first innings. Saeed Mutabir made unbeaten 117, Imran Ahmed 89 and Abdul Rauf 67. In Group C match played at National ground, Humak Engineering thrashed ETPB by an innings and 74 runs. ETPB were all out for 134 in 27.1 overs in their second innings after follow on. Ali Imran and M Muqaddas claimed four wickets each. ETPB were bowled out for 114 in their first innings. M Muqaddas notched up seven wickets for 50. Earlier, Humak Engineering were all out for 322 in 63 overs in their first innings with M Irfan scoring 79, Adnan Mahmood 64 and Shahid Gill unbeaten 50. Ibrahim Ahmed Raza took 3-52 while Ansar Sultan got 2-68. At Marghazar ground, Candy Land reached 145-5 in their second innings against Dollars East while At KRL Stadium, Umar Associates beat PEB by nine wickets.
