Asia Cup Fistball from tomorrow

LAHORE - The five-nation Asia Cup Fistball Tournament will commence from tomorrow (Wednesday) under the banner of Punjab International Sports Festival. Australia, Afghanistan, India, Nepal and hosts Pakistan will feature in the event to be played at Punjab Stadium. Australian and Indian teams have reached the city and were received by Pakistan Fistball Federation (PFBF) secretary Usman Ahmed. Australian skipper Rafael said that they were quite happy to play fistball in Pakistan. Besides playing the game, the Australian players also want to visit historic places in Lahore. The Indian skipper said: “The sports lovers of the region will see exciting competitions in the event especially between Pakistan and India. Pakistan is just like our own home. We are feeling quite comfortable here.”–Staff Reporter
