KARACHI - Sukkur surprised host Karachi in penalty stokes by 4-2 margin in the final to win the NBP-sponsored Sindh Regional Women Hockey title here the other day at the HCP. After playing a goal-less draw in full time, the final was taken into the penalty stroke session where Sukkur proved better than the host. Hyderabad took third position in the event. Acting governor Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuhro was the guest of honour at the final who awarded the winning team Sukkur a cash prize of Rs 15,000 while Karachi was given Rs 10,000.
