Lahore Lions survive Fahad scare in win over Eagles

LAHORE Mughal Lahore Lions outclassed Shapes Lahore Eagles by 38 runs despite Fahad-ul-Haqs brilliant 92-run knock in the Lahore Premier League match which was played here at Race Course ground. Lahore Lions, batting first, posted 272 runs on the board losing seven wickets with Riyaz-ud-din scoring 79 runs while Saeed Ahmad (46) and Muhammad Asim (42) also contributed to extend their teams total. Muhammad Zahid and Farrukh Akhtar took two wickets for 24 and 47 respectively while Fahad-ul-Haq got one for Lahore Eagles. In reply, Lahore Eagles could manage to score only 234 runs losing eight wickets. Fahad-ul-Haq scored impressive 92 runs while Rameez-ud-din made 60 and Asim Rafique 15. For Lahore Lions, Shoaib Khan grabbed three wickets for 30 and Quaid Khan got two for 43. LCCA Secretary Mian Javed Ali gave away the man of the match award to Mughal Lahore Lions captain Riyaz-ud-din.
