DG SBP visits Punjab teams training camps


LAHORE - The training camps of junior hockey, badminton, table tennis and judo teams of Punjab have started here at the National Hockey Stadium (NHS) and Sports Board Punjab (SBP) Gymnasium Hall on Thursday. These camps are being organised for the preparation of on-going Inter-Provincial Youth Games. DG SBP Usman Anwar visited the camps and expressed his satisfaction over the training of youngsters. He not only inquired about the facilities being provided to players but also played table tennis with them. As many as 20 players are taking part in the hockey camp as the U-14 Hockey Tournament will be held from May 20-24 at the NHS while 30 U-16 badminton and table tennis athletes are being trained at SBP Gymnasium Hall where these events will be staged from May 20-22.–Staff Reporter
