ISLAMABAD – The Inter-services Mini Sports Gala 2013 was held at Peshawar which was organised by PAF sports control committee. Boxing and basketball matches were played amongst PAF, Army and Navy teams. PAF and Navy took four and Army bagged two gold medals respectively in boxing competitions. In +91kg, Mehmoodul Hassan of PAF beat Nadir Khan of Navy, in 91kg, Ahmed Ali (Army) beat Kamran Mehmood (PAF), in 81kg, Riaz Ali (Army) beat Naeem Khan (PAF). The basketball competition was played on double league, during the first league matches, PAF beat Navy 109-44, Army beat Navy 109-27 and PAF edged out Army 65-62. Air Vice Marshal Arshad Malik, Air Officer Commanding Northern Air Command, was the chief guest and distributed prizes among the players.–Staff Reporter
