Asif enters Int’l Boxing Tournament final

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's M Asif brushed aside Mongolian Enkhtur Enkh Nasan 3-0 to storm into flyweight 52kg final of the 4th Taipei City Cup International Boxing Tournament at Taipei Gymnasium. Talking to The Nation, PBF secretary M Akram Khan said: “Asif displayed wonderful skills and completely outclassed his opponent winning all the three rounds 10-9, thus registered 30-27 victory. All the judges gave full marks to Asif. I am quite confident this young lad will perform well in the final too and try to win gold medal for the country. “We will try to provide the best possible facilities to not only Asif but other bright lads so that they may play major role in winning glory for country.” Asif will take on Japanese Mikito Nakano in the final today (Sunday). –Staff Reporter
