ISLAMABAD - Fata, Islamabad and KPK registered victories on the second day of the National U-12 Football Championship at Jinnah Stadium on Saturday. In the first match of the day, Fata carved out 1-0 victory over Gilgit-Baltistan. The first half remained goalless while in the second half, Babar Zia of Fata scored a brilliant solo goal in the 53rd minute to give his side all 3 points. In the second match, hosts Islamabad thrashed AJK 9-0. Ghayoor and Usama scored hat-tricks while Haziq hit a brace and Darab Khan scored a goal for the winners. In the third and last match of the day, KPK beat Punjab 1-0. Rizwan scored the only goal of the match in the 38th minute. Earlier, on the inaugural day, KPK beat Islamabad 3-1, Punjab outclassed AJK 11-0, and Sindh thrashed Gilgit-Baltistan 10-0. –Staff Reporter
