Aamir, Asif shared money for ice-cream parlour opening

PUNE (India) - The evidence recorded (via- teleconference) by three Pakistanis, the ODI skipper Shahid Afridi, coach Waqar Younis and the former security manager Major (retd) Khawaja Najam Javed, were 'not in the opposition' of the tainted trio of Salman Butt, M Asif and M Aamir, claims Zulfiqar Ali Butt, the father of the suspended Test captain, Salman Butt. Speaking exclusively to this paper, he said, "the information I gathered from Doha hearing suggest that the three Pakistanis "favoured" the suspended players". Afridi and Khawaja Najam Javed appeared from Pakistan, whereas the coach, Younis was hooked up from New Zealand". However, tough cross-examination by the ICC's legal experts, especially against Salman Butt is not ruled out either. Interestingly, the statements of all three which were earlier recorded by the ICC's Code of Conduct Commission and were leaked to media, suggested the players were guilty of spot-fixing. "The appearance money for the opening of the ice-cream parlour in England was also shared by M Aamir and M Asif," claimed Salman Butt's father. "My son got pounds 2500, i.e. the 50 % as against the agreed sum of pounds 5,000 and the two bowlers were paid pounds 1,500 each, also the 50 % of the agreed amount", sr. Butt confirmed. This ice-cream parlour, named as "After" (to suggest the desert items to be tasted after dinner), is a place (near upper Tooting Road, near Tooting Bec Station in London) has just opened and is amazing. With a diner style layout, a branded motorbike as a window-piece and a bright pink interior it has a childish excitement about desserts to it. Things on offer include ice cream, sundaes, waffles, milkshakes, smoothes, cakes, chocolate covered strawberries and offers which combine them. The prices are slightly lower than other ice cream parlour.
