Pakistan jr softball team denied Indian visa

KARACHI (APP) - Pakistan team will not be able to travel to India to take part in the fourth Asian Junior Softball Championship which will be played in Mumbai from December 12 to 16 after not getting the visa from Indian High Commission in Islamabad, a spokesman of the Pakistan Softball Federation announced on Friday. Our representative visited Indian High Commission in Islamabad on several occasions but visa was not granted, he said. He said the organisers in India have issued necessary documents and clearance from Indian Interior Ministry but visa was not issued. A 24-member Pakistan squad including seven officials were to take part in the event. Four top teams from Asian junior championship were to qualify for the World Junior Softball Championship, he added.
