ISLAMABAD – Punjab Colours, Punjab Whites, Islamabad and Pakistan Boards qualified for the Third National U-18 Hockey Championship semi-finals. A total of five matches were played on Tuesday at Naseer Bunda Stadium. Helped by nine goals from Kirsam and hat-trick each by Shehneel and Anee, Punjab Colours thrashed Sindh Colours 15-0. Kirsam scored triple hat-trick. In the second match, Punjab Whites beat Sindh Colours 1-0. Aqsa scored the winning goal in the dying moments of the match to give Punjab all three points and a place in the semifinals. In other matches, Punjab Colours hammered Islamabad 11-0, Punjab Whites defeated KPK 3-0 while Sindh Whites beat Balochistan 1-0. In the first semifinal, Punjab Colours take on Pakistan Boards while in the second semifinal, Islamabad will face Punjab Whites.–Staff Reporter
