Korea to promote football in Pakistan

LAHORE - Korean Football Association (KFA) president Mong Gyu Chung assured his all-out support to Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) for the promotion of football in Pakistan.
The KFA president said this while speaking at the press conference which was jointly addressed by him and PFF secretary Lt Col (r) Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi here on Saturday at the PFF secretariat. The delegation of Korea Football Association (KFA) was led by their president Mong Gyu Chung along with KFA vice president Dong Dae Kim and official Soo Whan AN.
The KFA delegation held an important meeting with the PFF delegation headed by PFF secretary Lt Col (r) Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi and PFF Director Dev and Com Wg Cdr (r) Pervaiz Saeed Mir, Director MAs and Clubs Lt Col (r) Farasat Ali Shah PFF, Director Admin Major (r) Jahangir Lodhi, Consultant Marketing Sardar Naveed Haider Khan and Manager Media Marketing Shahid Khokhar.
The PFF secretary welcomed the KFA delegation on behalf of PFF president Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat and told the media that Korea was a powerhouse of football in the Asia.
Lodhi said that the PFF chief and the KFA president had a long history of mutual understanding for the development of football in the region. “Korea has always assisted Pakistan and their visit is to further enhance their support for the development of football in Pakistan. We are holding bilateral talks for the mutual benefit of both the friendly countries. The KFA president has shown willingness in the development of Pakistan Premier League, coach education programme and youth football developement.”
The KFA president thanked the PFF chief for their warm hospitality and grand reception and said: “We want to assist Pakistan in youth football development and coaches development. Today (Sunday), we are going to meet with the Faisal Saleh to arrive to the modalities for the above mentioned development plans.”
After the press briefing, the KFA delegation visited Wahga Border to witness the ceremonial parade. The delegation was highly impressed by the standard of the drill and enthusiasm shown by the Pakistani spectators present over there.
