UEFA, Arsenal work on ECL security

NYON (Agencies) - UEFA says it is working with police and football authorities in London on security plans for Arsenal's Champions League match against Udinese next Tuesday. UEFA spokesman Rob Faulkner said that "we're monitoring the situation very closely," after rioting and looting across London this week. Faulkner says UEFA is "liaising with Arsenal, The Football Association and London police authorities with regards to the match being played as scheduled." Arsenal's Emirates Stadium is 6 kilometers (4 miles) from Tottenham, where public disorder started last weekend.
