LAHORE - Pakistan tennis dashed to its lowest ever Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group II second-round tie after 0-3 defeat at the hands of Philippines at their backyard. Pakistan lost two of its opening day singles on day one and sustained the similar fate in the doubles match of the tie on Saturday. The Philippines pair of Treat Huey and Cecil Mamiit who won their respective singles matches with ease, made short work of the Pakistan's brothers pair of Aqeel Khan and Jalil Khan to finish of the tie win 6-2, 6-4, 6-0 with the reverse singles, which would be played today would do nothing to change the result. Earlier, Treat Huey (PHI) bt Aqeel Khan (PAK) 6-4, 7-5, 6-2 and Cecil Mamiit (PHI) bt Jalil Khan (PAK) 6-1, 6-2, 6-1.
