ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Sports Engr Shaukat Ullah Khan has held out assurance to Chairperson Standing Committee on Sports and Culture Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Shagufta Malik that they would be helped to revive their traditional sports so that the youth could not be fallen into the hands of terrorists. Talking to the minister, whom she called on at his office on Wednesday, Shagufta apprised him of the ongoing traditional sports taking place in different parts of KP and Fata. She observed that engaging the youth in healthy activities would not only build their character but would also provide them with a chance to prosper at national and international level. Fully supporting the idea, the minister assured his all-out assistance in this regard. "Following tribal areas' MPs request, Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) is sending sports equipment, which includes kits, balls, bats, volleyballs, nets, footballs and other things to different parts of Fata and this consignment will reach Fata in a couple of days," said the minister.
