ISLAMABAD Director General Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), Amir Hamza Gillani, has hailed the sparkling performance of wrestlers Azher Hussain and Mohammad Inam in ongoing the 19th Commonwealth Games who won gold medals. He said that the performance of wrestlers would certainly encourage the followers. Grabbing two golds is really a great sign which will help the game grow and get popular in the country, he said. While appreciating the efforts of Pakistan Wrestling Federation (PWF), Gillani said that PWF did its best efforts in spotting the talent and making it a part of national team. Azher and Inam have raised the nations head high in India, he added. DG PSB said that it was more than a gold for the nation. He said, Pakistans performance on international sports spectrum will certainly send a positive message to the world that Pakistan is not only a sports friendly nation but has the great talent, he added. He asserted that players would be awarded as per the policy of federal government. He said that PSB had left no stone unturned in providing facilities, equipments and logistic support to the national athletes.
