Love Pakistanis, they will return it in double

DUBAI (UAE) Love thy neighbor is a term thats become almost cliched over the years. Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has been advised to love Pakistanis and then experience the love that will be reciprocated and showered by Pakistanis on her. The advice has come from none other than Samina Abbas, the Indian lady, who herself married to Pakistans Zaheer Abbas. If you thought that former Indian cricket skippers Lala Amarnath, Sunil Gavaskar and Bishan Singh Bedi are the only ones who have been stumped by Kanpur maidens or Mohsin Khan married to Indias Reena Roy (the marriage didnt last long though), wait till we tell you about Asian Bradman, Zaheer Abbas. Former Pakistani captain is yet another distinguished cricketer who has played into the hands of a Kanpur girl. Zaheers wife Rita alias Samina who used to live in the Swarup Nagar locality in Kanpur, met him during the 80s in England where she did what very few could - bowl over a cricketer At that time Zaheer was playing County cricket and Rita Luthra pursuing a course in interior designing. I am happily married to a Pakistani cricketer some 22 years ago and dont foresee any problem for Sania as she is getting ready to marry Shoaib Malik, she said from Karachi. Pakistanis understand the values of life and Sania may not be required to do any adjustment as cultures of both nations are almost same, she added. If Sania loves Pakistani people, the people of this country will also love her. Now happily married, Zaheer and Samina, live in Karachi where Samina runs an interior designing business. The couple comes to India often. We have been invited by Shoaib Maliks family for the wedding but we shall be busy attending the wedding of Feroze Khans daughter in Mumbai on April 14, 15 and 16 and hence wont be able to attend Sanias wedding in Hyderabad. We dont have valid visas to travel to Hyderabad either, she said. We, however, wish the couple happy marriage life, she added. Luthras family connection with Pakistan precedes Saminas marriage. Until partition, the Luthras lived in Faislabad. Saminas father late KC Luthra was a friend of Zaheers father Shabbir Abbas. When Zaheer sought Ritas hand for marriage there was hardly any opposition in the family. Interestingly, apart from families ties, their Pakistani daughter, Sonam, too is married to an Indian businessman in the capital.
