ISLAMABAD - Mahfooz Safar National Ranking Tennis Championship will commence from today (Thursday) here at Senator Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex. In all, 32 players will appear in the qualifying round on the opening day for the eight slots for the men's singles main draw. Four events men's singles, men's doubles, ladies singles and junior u-18 will be contested in the event. All the top players including Aqeel, Yasir, Jaleel and M Abid have confirmed their entries. Top female players Sara Mansoor, Sarah Mahboob, Alina Aftab, Mahin Aftab and others have also confirmed their participation in the event. The PTF will facilitate the players and dailies and accommodation will also be provided to them. Former IGP National Highways and Motorway Police Zafar Abbas Lak will be the chief guest on the opening ceremony. –Staff Reporter
