Pakistan prepared to tackle T20 challenge: Shahid Afridi

KOLKATA: Pakistan T20 skipper Shahid Afridi today asserted that the Green Shirts are ready to tackle all tough challenges in the World Cup.

 “We practiced today and we are mentally and physically prepared for the game,” he said while addressing a press conference in India’s Kolkata city,

Speaking to media persons, Afridi hailed Indian performance. “They are defiantly playing a good cricket. India has performed well against us in Asia Cup. Great performance from Kohli and Yuvraj Singh,” he said, replying to a question.

“I enjoyed cricket in India and received much love. It’s memorable for me,” Afridi said.

Earlier, he joined practice session with his team that is facing India on March 19.

Afridi’s men will play the only warm-up match against Sri Lanka on Monday before formally launching their world cup campaign on March 16 against the qualifier (Bangladesh or Oman).

 The Green Shirts will then take on arch-rivals India on March 19 at Eden Garden in Kolkata. The much-anticipated March 19 clash was shifted to Kolkata from Dharamsala over security concerns.
