KARACHI - Pakistan hockey team’s Dutch coach Michel van den Heuval, who twice visited Athletics Fitness School (AFS) located here at Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium during his stay in the city, has praised the training facilities available at the school for sportsmen.
The Athletics Fitness School founded by former international 110 meter hurdler M Talib about three decades ago has provided fitness facilities to various national teams including hockey in the past. National footballers and cricketers also used the facilities from time-to-time.
Talib informed the coach about the achievements of his school. A number of boys and girls who attended training courses won national honours. One of them was Naseem who won 100 meter dash in the last SAF Games in Dhaka, he said.
Talib informed that his school had also conducted coach’s clinic in the interior of the province as well.
