Skiers to get best facilities, assures SFP chief

ISLAMABAD - Ski Federation of Pakistan (SFP) president Air Marshal Sohail Gul Khan Tuesday said that the skiers would be provided the best facilities and training and a good amount of funds would be raised to meet skiers needs and arrange their training abroad.
He said this while presiding over SFP general council meeting and added: “The SFP is focusing on 2018 Winter Olympics, in which we are hoping for more satisfactory results as compare to Soochi Olympics 2014.” All the member associations, departments, clubs and armed forces representatives participated in the meeting.  SFP secretary Air Commodore Mussarat Ali informed the participants about the SFP’s efforts and future plans. It was informed that the standing committee would finalise the draft constitution of the federation soon and all the observations and recommendations would be duly addressed.
It was also reviewed in detail arrangements and facilities to the players during the forthcoming Winter Games at Naltar and Kalabagh, which were delayed due to non-availability of required amount of snow, dates for conducting both events would be soon finalized.
All the ski association clubs and member organisations assured that the best efforts would be made to promote skiing in the country. The SFP executive committee meeting would be held today (Wednesday).
