Pakistanis excel in Qatar PSA World Squash

ISLAMABAD - Four Pakistanis made it to the first round of the Qatar PSA World Squash Championship 2014, after winning their respective qualifying round matches on Thursday in Doha.
The championship will conclude on November 21. Talking to The Nation champ Aamir Atlas Khan said: “It was a great day for us, as we all won our opening day encounters, while Tayyab Aslam was out of the event as he was playing against Danish Atlas Khan.”
In the first match of the day, Farhan Zaman beat Bader Al Hussaini of Kuwait 3-0. The score was 11-4, 11-6, 11-6. In the second match, Farhan Mehboob beat Chris Gordon of USA 3-0, with the score line of 11-8, 15-13 and 11-8.
In the third match, Danish beat Tayyab Aslam 3-1 with the score of 11-3, 7-11, 11-2 and 11-5. In the fourth and last encounter of the day, Aamir beat Jaymic Haycocks 3-2. Aamir lost the first game 9-11, but won the second 11-9, lost the third 9-11, won the fourth 11-3 and fifth 11-9. Nasir Iqbal is already in the main round, as the first round matches will start today (Friday).
