Miandad, Afridi reconcile at Karachi Governor House

KARACHI: Legendary batsman Javed Miandad and former T20 skipper, Shahid Afridi have reconciled their differences on Saturday after an ugly war of words.

Reportedly, the two sportsmen shook hands and made mends over intervention of a politician. Sources have reported that Afridi’s paternal uncle got the politician to intervene the issue.

The meeting took place in Sindh Governor House and a joint statement was given.

Afridi complained to the ex-cricketer that he used harsh words against him to which Miandad replied complaining the same to him.

Afridi said that whatever he said in the last few days was out of anger and he did not mean all of that. Meanwhile, Miandad has taken back his statements that he passed recently against Afridi.

In the last few days, Afridi had taken offence of Miandad s statement against him and claimed that he would file a defamation suit against him. Miandad then claimed that he had seen Afridi fix a cricket match.
