LAHORE - Wapda have won team event (men's) trophy of the 1st Micro Funiture All Pakistan Ranking Badminton Tournament at Sialkot after defeating NBP by 3-0 and National Bank of Pakistan clinched team event (women's) title beating Wapda by 3-2 games. Information received here said that in the men's team final between Wapda and NBP was looking one sided, both single matches won by WAPDA players. Umer Zeeshan and Wajid Ali effortless, but the doubles match was finished with 3 games. Score as follow: Wajid Ali WAPDA beat Rizwan Azam NBP by (22-20), (21-14) in the first singles match. Wajid Ali and Rizwan Rana WAPDA beat Rizwan Azam and Kashif NBP by (18-21),(21-19),(23-21) in 2nd match. Umer Zeeshan WAPDA beat Murad Ali NBP by (21-14),(-21-16) in 3rd match singles. WAPDA won by 3 - 0. In the women's team event final, NBP won after very hard work against WAPDA team.
