KARACHI All the top tennis stars including Davis Cuppers Aqeel Khan, Jalil Khan, Yasir Khan, Nomi Qamer will appear in the 6th Pizza Hut Open Ranking Tennis Championship which gets underway here Friday (today) at the deco turf tennis courts of Beach View Club Karachi. Pizza Hut - the sponsors of the event - has enhanced the prize money. The total prize money is Rs 75,000. The Sindh Tennis Association has received 125 entries from various parts of country which include one from Islamabad, one from Multan, seven from Hyderabad, two from Sukkur, three from Larkana and one from Quetta. Karachi has the biggest entries in the event. Meanwhile, STA has finalised the seedings of various events which are as follows: Men s singles: (1) Aqeel Khan, (2) Jalil Khan, (3) Yasir Khan, (4) Nomi Qamer. Juniors u-17 singles: (1) Mustafa Zaidi, (2) Abdul Rehman, (3) Talha Zubair, (4) Saad Noor Sumar. Boys & girls u-15 singles: (1) Talha Zubair, (2) Shahbaz Fayyaz, (3) Murad Khan, (4) Sanwal Memon. Boys & girls u-13 singles: (1) Azher A Qadirm (2) Maheen Dada. Boys u-11 singles: (1) Muhammed Raza Sawani, (2) Kanishkan. All the players are advised to bring their TPIN cards and show it at the entrance of the club. Those who are playing for the first time should bring two small photos for TPIN card & registration.
