FIFA lauds PFF

LAHORE - Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) president JS Blatter has praised the efforts of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) for undertaking the construction of eight state of the art football academies in Pakistan to help promote the game at all levels.
He expressed these views during a meeting with PFF president Fasial Saleh Hayat on the side-lines of the FIFA strategic committee held on Friday in Zurich. “The PFF is striving for the cause of football in Pakistan and setting up of academies across the country will expand the base of the game besides giving a boost to football in Pakistan,” said FIFA chief during the meeting.” He has lauded the present regime of the PFF which took a number of steps and introduced a number of reforms for the cause of football in Pakistan. He also praised the role of the PFF chief for his contribution as a member of AFC Executive Committee and Chairman AFC Legal Committee and hoped he would continue his struggle for the development of football in Asia.  The PFF chief thanked FIFA president for allotting eight FIFA Goal Projects/Academies to Pakistan which will supplement the ongoing efforts for the development of football among youth. Blatter assured Faisal of his full commitment to award artificial turfs (pitches) from the FIFA’s next allocations. He also assured the PFF president of his resolve to visit Pakistan as soon as possible.
