PCB sets to keep media at bay from its premises

LAHORE - Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering various options to hide its sensitive issues from the media’s eye by keeping it at bay from its premises.
According to the sources, the PCB is not happy with the free movement of journalists in its headquarters. The board’s top officials think that daily visits of the journalists to the Gaddafi Stadium have been creating controversies for the board, as their visits help them collect inside stories for their media houses.
“Hence, the PCB is working on options to limit the journalistic activity at the premises of the PCB headquarters. The first option is to put a complete ban on entrance of journalists in the board, the second is to fix their visiting hours, the third one is to arrange weekly briefings for them while the fourth is to allow them in premises of Gaddafi Stadium only for press conference,” the sources added.
The sources said the cricket board was set to announce their policy in this regard soon. “The board officials are almost ready to announce their media policy soon and then media will be limited in performing their official duties while the board, on the other hand, will be successful to some extent in hiding many sensitive issues from media’s eye.”
